The National Ambulance Service Foundation was created in 2004 by ambulance crew members willing to act for the benefit of the Hungarian ambulance stations and their fellow colleagues.

As the central foundation of the Hungarian state-run National Ambulance Service (NAS) our aim is:

  • to  help in developing the installations, facilities and equipment of the NAS
  • to improve the working conditions for the ambulance staff
  • to raise the social status of the ambulance workers, to make this profession more valued and appreciated.

Our foundation is qualified as a public benefit organization and our fundraising efforts have been praised by Effie awards* in recent years – we work to help those 7,000 men and women who are on duty and waiting for call 365 days a year so that their slogan can actually happen: “every day someone is reborn”.
